City
Growth is a voice for the private
sector – a demand-led initiative
for the economic regeneration
of the town, borne out of the
recognition that business is key
to economic prosperity in partnership
with our stakeholders, partners
and the public sector.
It is not often that businesses
get an opportunity to contribute
to the economic strategy of their
local area, so when the opportunity
is presented we, as local businesses
should take full advantage of
this.
Led
by a mainly private-sector Board, City
Growth Luton has had many productive
meetings, conducted an interview and
questionnaire exercise. Also we have
held several cluster workshops with
local businesses to establish their
views and concerns about the local business
environment. The City Growth Luton Strategy
will seek to address these concerns
and exploit opportunities and local
competitive advantages. I am very excited
about City Growth Luton and what it
stands for, hence my participation in
the project as Chairman of the Board.
